![]() The lap steel in the image you provided was a Consul 8 I think. In case you're not sure what a Valco string-through pickup looks like, here's a picture. Whatever it is you have, have fun with it! Harry - Brad has photos of all the Supro steels that were in production in 1963. No legs and gently tapered streamlined look. The pick-up plate is quite large, square with the tone control on the bass side of the strings (towards the player) and the volume control on the other. It has a 23" scale length (nut to bridge), and I guess it has one of those "string through the middle pickups" that the boys on the Forum have been talking about recently. It's painted, topsides all white except for the fretboard which is black (except for the geometrically shaped location markers which are white). the color and shape of the plate around the pickup, etc? I checked on Brad's Page of Steel, but couldn't find anything that matched.Ĭan you provide more in the way of a description - the shape of the body. Does anybody know the model name and year it was made? I bought it for $100 from a guitar store in Vancouver BC some years ago. My 6-string Supro has the serial # G13954, and is white.
